OK Convention Challenge Fund Now Active!

After the tremendous outpouring of support shown nationally by supporters of the cause of Liberty, the Oklahoma Conservative Values Delegates - also known as the Parking Lot Patriots - have formed a "Legal Defense Fund". I prefer to call it the "Convention Challenge Fund". Specifically, the purpose of this fund is to pay for the attorneys involved and offset travel and lodging expenses of those making the complaint. A website - www.okliberty.com - has been set up to coordinate fundraising and share information, including Rules, laws, and evidence. The complaint was delivered on Tuesday, May 22nd, 2012.

In the last two weeks, a legal entity has been formed, a tax ID number obtained, and a bank account opened for this specific purpose. The Treasurer for this organization (Oklahoma Conservative Values Delegates) is Lukus Collins, a well known activist for Liberty and Ron Paul in the Oklahoma City area. Mr. Collins is a party to the Complaint and is a Delegate to the Republican National Convention, elected at the 5th Congressional District Convention. He was also a Delegate to the State, 5th District, and Oklahoma County Conventions in 2012.

The Parking Lot Patriots
The Assistant Treasurer for this organization is Jake Peters, who many have become familiar with for his efforts at both the GOP State Convention and the 1st Congressional District Convention. During the State Convention Jake was selected to be one of the floor leaders "inside" and was the Chairman "outside", where he was elected as one of the At-Large National Delegates. He was also instrumental in the 1st Congressional District Convention effort to hold the Republican Party to it's own Rules. He is from Broken Arrow, in Wagoner County, near Tulsa.

Others involved in the official complaint are Steve Dickson (your author of this post), also elected as a Delegate to the National Convention from the 5th Congressional District (and the other floor leader inside during the State Convention), and Jerry Essary, Jr., Chairman of the Beckham County GOP and Delegate Alternate to the Republican National Convention, from the 3rd Congressional District. The other two officers of the "Parking Lot Patriots" are Brady Wright, National Delegate from the 3rd Congressional District (Parliamentarian) and Ryan Underwood, elected At-Large National Delegate outside at the State Convention (Secretary of the Parking Lot Patriots). We appreciate your support!
